Financial Markets Consulting Analyst

Banking Research and Consulting firm East & Partners is seeking a Financial Markets Analyst to join our Sydney CBD based team. The firm runs large scale demand side research programs in the business and corporate banking markets in Australia and Asia, generating highly detailed analysis reports for clients in the banking and financial services sectors and significant private engagement work with financial services clients.

We are seeking someone with a love of numbers; a highly motivated and analytically minded person who will run analyses across our metrics, highlighting market trends, service provider activity and customer behaviour dynamics. These will then be reported back to clients and/or used to generate further client advisory mandates.

The ability to interpret and present quantitative research findings in a compelling and insightful manner is critical. The analyst will also be responsible for private client engagements in Australia and overseas and driving East & Partners? expanding consulting practice.

The successful candidate will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
• Strong numeracy and Excel skills
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An innovative approach to analysis and interpretation
• A strong service ethic
• Strong presentational skills
• An understanding of business banking markets
