While almost all of East's research work is done face-to-face and by telephone, we seldom come across other research firms among our research targets whether in Australia or Asia. East never asks its client banks for customer lists to pad out its multi-client research. We decide the enterprises interviewed based on good practice sample framing and coverage - and eliminate the risk of results being manipulated by inappropriate interviewee selection.
We understand that many research firms collect their information via email, post and fax, similar to conducting readership polls. This is a type of methodology that lends itself to manipulation and abuse. East & Partners focuses on delivering in-depth analysis to our clients by collecting data through detailed interviews conducted by bank industry experienced interviewers.
Corporate & Business Relationships
We assign our same interviewers to conduct interviews with the same customers for our regular research subscription services. With this arrangement, we believe our interviewers know the customers better, and therefore able to obtain "deeper" information in the interviews.

While many firms spend efforts on individual ratings, such as "Best Asian Fixed Income Salesperson", East & Partners focuses on the customer-to-bank relationship as an institutional one, not flavoured by personalities. We know that many corporates are unwilling to rate individuals within their banking relationships and flavour their responses accordingly.
While results of certain firms can only be used for internal purposes and not for public application, all the results of East & Partners research programs can be used (with our prior consent) in the wider community, as we are comfortable in substantiating our results under any circumstances.
